There are three types of quest available within Perished Lands.
These become available when you player reaches level 250.
You then get the option to enter a quest to be able to remort you character.
If you so choose, you will be transferred to a class specific quest area.
This area contains a path which you must follow to the end to gain your remort, and you class specific quest item.
You will be able to rent at any point, and return from where you left off, but if you recall, or die, you will have to start all over again. & if you die, your corpse will be VERY difficult to retrieve.
If you complete this quest, then you will receive you quest item, and be returned to the game world. at this point you will be able to remort to the next level at any time.
In each racial city, you will find a questmaster. Speaking to him will give you the option of going on a quest to locate an object or kill a specific mob.
If you fail a quest or just don’t complete the quest in time, you will lose nothing.
But, if you complete the quest, you will receive an amount on quest points.
These quest-points can be spent on quest items, or character/equipment stat increases. a list of what you can buy, and the price is available at the quest-master.
In the Perished Lands, The only class and race you cannot choose is the Vampire. In the Ancient City, a master has been known to transform players time and again.
As a Vampire, you have a new set of skills and style of living, however, if you have been made a Vampire against your will, a Vampire Quest for a cure is in your future.
The VERY challenging Vampire Quest area makes for hours of strategic fun and has been known to bring a player to the brink of insanity.
Once you have the cure, the most important part is to get out alive! We dare YOU to take the challenge! This code was custom written by Klered and is what seperates this Perished Lands from standard SMAUG Muds!
From time to time, immortals will run quests that will involve the entire mud.
These quests can involve virtually anything, and may last from five minutes, to a few days to complete.
The prizes for completing these quests can also be almost anything depending on the complexity of the quest, and the number of people involved with succeeding.
